Where Do I Find Help?

The professionals and organizations on this list have interest and knowledge in treating postpartum mood disorders. A Mother's Wings does not suggest or endorse a specific therapist or a form of treatment. This is a decision that should be made with your family and a healthcare professional. Please call the providers to discuss your treatment and concerns.
In addition to the resources provided on this list, Mental Health America of Colorado has an extensive list of local, state and national organizations as well as government agencies specializing in mental illness. Mental Health America of Colorado also has downloadable fact sheets and brochures on hundreds of mental health topics available to the public for free at www.mhacolorado.org.

Centennial, CO 80111
My approach to working with new parents might be considered a form of coaching: Identifying personal strengths that have been useful in the past, creative use of resources, restorative individual activities, and attending to needs of the couple’s relationship. In this approach to New Parent Coaching, you will be consciously choosing the ways in which you want to respond to your baby instead of reacting to your baby from unknown sources that have influenced your growth from infancy to the present moment. In a supportive, nurturing environment, parents and babies can grow to be the best they can possibly be.
